This DEUTZ FL511 piston kit 0415 2197 is a standalone piston assembly designed specifically for the single-cylinder and twin-cylinder DEUTZ 511 series air-cooled diesel engines, widely used in hand-operated compactors, small water pumps, walk-behind tillers, and 5–10 kW generator sets. The kit contains one lightweight eutectic aluminum-silicon alloy piston with shallow heat dam, a two-compression plus one oil control ring set with phosphate-coated expanders, a precision-ground wrist pin, and two retaining clips. Unlike larger DEUTZ pistons requiring forged steel crowns, this FL511 variant prioritizes low reciprocating mass and rapid warm-up for intermittent duty cycles. The piston skirt features a lead-free graphite coating to reduce scuffing during cold starts in field conditions.
