Function of the Fuel Filter
The fuel filter in a Deutz engine is responsible for removing dirt, rust, and other contaminants from diesel fuel before it reaches the injection system. By ensuring a clean supply of fuel, the filter protects fuel pumps and injectors, improves combustion efficiency, and reduces the risk of engine wear or malfunction. A properly functioning fuel filter contributes directly to stable performance and extended engine life.
Precautions During Use
When using a Deutz engine, the fuel filter should be replaced at the recommended maintenance intervals to prevent clogging. A blocked filter can restrict fuel flow, cause power loss, or damage injection components. Only genuine or high-quality filters should be used to ensure effective filtration. If the filter housing has a water separator, accumulated water and sediment should be drained regularly. During replacement, it is also important to bleed air from the fuel system to prevent starting difficulties.
